(Inv. #100) excellent example of a variant or one-off version of the Seth Thomas #32 Regulator. The clock works have been cleaned, oiled and is now ready to provide years of service for the special collector who appreciates the timeless beauty of a classic clock.
The wall hanging clock is housed in what appears to be an American walnut case, 67 1/2 inches tall with a 12 inch white painted dial and an 8 day, weight driven movement by Seth Thomas. The original wavy glass has “Railroad Time” in gold letters across the front. The clock would have been a key fixture for an upscale business when it was new in the 1880s to early 1900s. The doors have numbers pressed into them indicating a matching pair when made or by the customer for inventory purposes.
