(Inv. #145) This is a unique clock made by William E. Hadlock of Boston MA. Hadlock was known as a chronometer and watch maker in the 1870s who made high quality products. He did make a series of wall hanging clocks with unique cases. The works are of exceptional quality, very thick plates, heavy gears, double wooden bezels, gilded pendulum rods, and large springs which run the clocks for over 8 days just to name a few of the items.
The walnut clock case is 34″ tall x 12″ wide with the number 188 carved into the backboard. The mechanism has been disassembled, cleaned, re-assembled, oiled and it is running correctly. For more information on this item, please contact us by email or phone.
